Martin K. Pottle, APR*, founded Martin Thomas, Inc. in 1987. His career, which spans 30+ years, has been devoted to servicing companies and associations in the industrial, consumer and business-to-business sectors.

His career began in the United States Army during the Vietnam era where, as a captain, he became the U.S. Liaison in Europe between the armed forces located there and the West German government. He then went `Madison Avenue' with one of the world's largest public relations firms, Burson-Marsteller, Inc., (now Young & Rubicam) in New York City.

On the corporate side, he worked for Fortune 500 company GAF Corporation. Other affiliations included executive positions with Creamer Dickson Basford in New England and the founding of a public relations division of a medium-sized New England-based advertising agency.

An accomplished writer, his works have appeared in leading business publications and popular consumer magazines. Awards, titles and honors include Who's Who in Advertising; Who's Who in Public Relations and Who's Who in America; PRSA Chapter President. He also is a frequent writer and lecturer on various marketing topics and serves on several international boards.
